Blood Drive and Bone Marrow Testing at New River Community Church

Blood Drive & Bone Marrow Testing

When: Saturday, March 15, 2008 from 10 am to 4 pm
Where: New River Community Church (see directions and contact info below)

On Saturday, March 15, 2008 there will be a Red Cross Blood Drive & Bone Marrow testing within the New River Community Church gymnasium between 10 am and 4 pm. Donations may be made in honor of Josiah Allen (diagnosed with Leukemia). Those who are 17 years or older, in good health and at least 110 lbs, are potential donors. Please bring a picture ID. You may also be tested for bone marrow transplant, which only requires a mouth swab, on the same day (18 years to 60). Donations for the bone marrow testing are welcome. The Red Cross would like an estimate as to how many will come so you may sign up at any local Church within the Sneads Ferry area (these sheets will be picked up by March 3, 2008). Signups are a courtest and are not required.

Note: The hospital has used a lot of blood products in Josiah Allen's treatment ~50 transfusions! Someone else gave freely. We want to give back and make sure others are provided for in their time of need. Thanks!

Directions to the Church:
Highway 172 toward the back gate in Sneads Ferry.
Look for the big blue sign that says New River Community Church.
Turn right on to Wheeler Creek Rd.
Church is on the left.
