Drop a raw egg 55 feet without breaking it as well as launch balloons and rockets while learning about the force and speed of gravity were all part of the day for 3rd and 4th grade science classes at Dixon Elementary School.

Public Service Announcement - Sneads Ferry Schools Are Open

School has begun this week at Dixon Elementary School, Dixon Middle School and Dixon High School. Please keep an extra eye toward young children along the roadways before and after school. Also, please slow down and be alert when driving through the school zones.

Let us all work together to make this year a safe and happy time for all our Sneads Ferry and surrounding area children to learn and grow.
