Youth Cheerleading Lessons

YOUTH CHEERLEADING LESSONS
The Onslow County Parks and Recreation Department and Jacksonville High School cheerleaders are offering cheerleading lessons for ages 5-12 on Saturdays;

Beginner Golf Lessons

BEGINNER GOLF LESSONS
The Onslow County Parks & Recreation Department and Jacksonville Country Club are sponsoring beginner golf lessons for ages 10 and older. Lessons will be held each Thursday from August 27 thru September 24 at Jacksonville Country Club. Register at Onslow Pines Park Office; $ 50.00 fee. (only $ 10.00 per lesson). Class size is limited. KIDS BACK TO SCHOOL BINGO

Join Onslow County Parks and Recreation Department for an exciting, fun filled evening of bingo Monday August 3, 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Kids 5 to 12 are invited to test their game skills at Blue Creek Elementary School Cafeteria. Play bingo and win back to school supplies. BACK TO SCHOOL CONCERT SERIES

The Onslow County Parks and Recreation Department, Onslow County Public Library and the NC Arts Council are sponsoring a “Back to School” music series. Concerts are held outdoors at the Onslow County Public Library on Thursday evenings August 6 - 27. Times of each concert are 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm. The Library is located at 58 Doris Ave. Performers are:

August 6 - Spotlight Entertainers (Variety)

August 13 – Like Flint (Beach & Oldies)

August 20 – Candace/Ricky Atkins (Classic Country)

August 27 – Bob Richards (Celtic Folk)

Concerts are free and open to the public. Pack up the family; bring lawn chairs and blankets. Join us for a variety of music and fun. In case of rain, the concerts will be held indoors at the Library. END OF THE SUMMER BEACH BLAST

The Onslow County Parks and Recreation Department, Keep Onslow Beautiful, Waffle House and On Shore Surf Shop are sponsoring a Beach Blast Saturday August 29, Beach Access #2, Hwy. 210 Topsail Beach. Free Sand Castle Contest, Geocaching, Games and Food from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Surfing Competition from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm at Beach Access #2, Hwy. 210 Topsail Beach. An adult must accompany all youth under the age of 18.

SunCoast Playland/Arcade

Sun Coast Play Land/Arcade is just off of Highway 210 right next to the new Coffee Shop. Sun Coast is a fairly new arcade in Sneads Ferry. They have a lot a different game and ticket making machines in the building.

They have a variety of prizes to win! You can even win a brand new bike! They have some candy and toys to win. If you want to have a great timer and experience then go on over to Sun Coast Play Land Arcade. If you go, then I'm sure that you won't regret it.

Pete-Eze Skating and Family Fun

If you want to go have a great experience at skating or skateboarding then go to Pete-Eze Skating and Family Fun Rink in Sneads Ferry, NC. They are almost brand new in Sneads Ferry so they are open only on Fridays and Saturdays for teen nights. However, you don't have to be a teen to go there. Admission is $6. But, the food is pretty cheap to buy.

They allow skates and skateboards on the rink at different time and sometimes at the same time! They have ramps and rails to use freely. It is a great place to have fun!

Some different things to do there are obviously skate and skateboard, play pool on one of the two pool tables, play some video games, and win prizes with the tickets.

The snacks and drinks list include: Lost energy drinks, Many types of sodas, hot dogs, pretzels, candy, and much much more.

Some of the things that they have to offer is public sessions for all ages, parties and events for all ages, skating lessons for adults and youth, Youth Roller Hockey Clinics. And, again, they offer skating and skateboarding in the rink.
