Dixon Soccer Club (DSC) Board Elections June 7th

Dixon Soccer Club (DSC) Board Elections will be held Monday, June 7th from 7:00 - 9:00pm at the Dixon Middle School field concession stand behind the school.

  • Are you a member of the Dixon Soccer Club?
  • Are you planning to have your child(ren) playing recreation soccer this year?
  • Were you aware of the NEW BY-LAWS that go into effect the day after the Board Election?
Soccer has long been a major recreational sport in this area with the Dixon Soccer Club facilitating the resources that enable our youth to enjoy "The Beautiful Game". Recently, there has been serious turmoil shaking the very foundation of the Dixon Soccer Club with new leadership, new rules (e.g. By-Laws), and little participation by the overall membership to decide what direction shall be taken in the near future. The voting on the By-Laws was decided by only 36 people total!

When you consider that their are two (2) groups running for the officers positions which is six (6) per side and twelve (12) overall, that leaves 24 people not directly running for office to vote.

Dixon Soccer Club Elections Friday, May 15th and Saturday, May 16th

It's time to get out and vote for the leadership of the Dixon Soccer Club (DSC) which is the recreation youth soccer league for this region. As a member of the NC Youth Soccer Association, the Dixon Soccer Club has provided the opportunity for many of the Sneads Ferry, Holly Ridge and surrounding areas youth to play competitive soccer.

Any program such as this requires much from its leadership and now is the time for those who have taken advantage of the DSC services to make it known who you want to lead the club for the upcoming year.

Voting will be held between 6 pm and 7pm on Friday, May 15, 2009 by the Dixon Middle School for those teams in the Wilmington, NC tournament this weekend.
The elections will be held on time, 1:PM - 3:PM inside the DIXON MIDDLE SCHOOL gym lobby this Saturday May 16th for all others.

Please show your support and vote for whomever you deem the best to lead our children in the world's "beautiful game" of soccer.
